University College of Technology is a private higher education institution based in Hodan, Mogadishu, Somalia. UCT was formally established and became operational in January 2015 following a year-long feasibility study led by Somali intellectuals and technology professionals.
The university was founded with a clear purpose: to expand access to quality technology education, reduce the digital skills gap, and prepare a new generation of Somali students to participate in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Applicants to UCT undergraduate programmes are required to hold a secondary-school certificate with a minimum pass rate of 70%, submit the required application documents, pay the admission fee, and successfully complete the admission assessment process.
